Satisfy all your particle needs with X-Particles, ideal for motion graphics and VFX. Create Cloth, Smoke, Fire, Fluids, Grains and Dynamic simulations, all from within a unified system. Also, for a superbly integrated and ultimate render companion, why not try Cycles 4D.
We strive to make continued improvements to X-Particles features and to develop more innovative tools. Our ambition is to create an outstanding toolset for the modern 3D artist so that they can work with integrity and efficiency.
Fully exchange, manipulate and combine particle data from every place within X-Particles. Use the Data Mapping tab in each X-Particles modifier to access particle attributes like texture, brightness, speed or temperature, giving a totally new level of control.
Streamlined workflow for meshing using our filtering system, means you can layer up your effects, generate smooth flowing surfaces, re-mesh geometry objects or create complex models. OpenVDB enables you to entirely art direct meshes; you can take total control of your artwork.
X-Particles uses a unique system of Questions and Actions giving you full control over your particle simulations without the need for XPresso or Cinema 4D’s native particle system. Bring your simulations to life with easy to use tools for everything from particle life, size, age, color and much more.
The xpDynamics tag is fully integrated into the X-Particles system and works with Fluids, Smoke, Fire and Constraints. Dynamic Objects can be controlled and art-directed using X-Particles Emitters, Modifiers, Questions & Actions and Data Mapping.
Create physically accurate sand and snow effects with our xpFluidFX Granular solver. Render as particles or create custom geometry using our OpenVDB mesher.
xpCirclePacker enables you to emit particles while dynamically avoiding intersections. It controls the particle radius and emission point, avoiding overlap. Control the minimum and maximum radii of the packed circles and use the separation parameter to give your particles space.
Our industry-standard particle meshing, the powerful OpenVDB framework. With a streamlined workflow for meshing using our filtering system, you can layer up your effects, generate smooth flowing surfaces, re-mesh geometry objects or create complex models. OpenVDB enables you to entirely art direct meshes; you can take total control of your artwork.
The Vorticity feature of ExplosiaFX enables you to add fine details to your simulations. A high amount of vorticity will amplify the "curly" features in the fluid. This will lets you to create a wide range of fire and smoke effects from a small candle fire to large scale explosions.
xpShatter provides full control over slicing your models into precise pieces by allowing the use of multiple shatter sources such as Curves, Primitives, Custom Geometry and Particles. With xpShatter you can choose between volume and surface-only shattering, giving you many options for geometric dissection.
Endless possibilities with Emission Control, emit Smoke and Fire from geometry with texture support. Emit particles to paint the shape of the explosion, take full control over heat, fuel, smoke and velocity channels. Full Object and Particle Color Support enables you to create Fire and Smoke from xpFluidFX and xpClothFX.
xpInfectio simulates growth patterns; it’s modelled on the idea of an infection spreading from one particle to another. However, it can be used on any simulated growth system. It fully supports particle groups and the Question and Action system allowing you to create stunning transitions in combination with the other VFX modules.
Our velocity field generator, xpFlowField lets you create custom velocity field effects. You can drive particles and ExplosiaFX simulations with Splines, Object Tangents or Normals, and use the Cinema 4D noises to art direct your own custom turbulence. Flow Fields can be mixed and layered to push directed particle effects to the next level.
I highly recommend anyone using X-Particles to use it in tandem with Cycles 4D. The bridge between the two allows for some amazing effects and control over the appearance of your particle systems. Being a regular Cinema 4D user also meant that Cycles 4D was fairly easy to pick up and integrate into our workflow. - Matthew Encina Blind.com
Cycles 4d is the render engine I’ve always wanted to have as a C4D artist. It’s a feature rich engine that doesn’t ask you to change the way you work to get the render you want. You can render entirely procedurally, or with image textures. It doesn’t feel like a plug-in at all, it feels like an update. - Casey Hupke
I find this is the absolute go-to anytime that I want to do anything with particles… There are so many possibilities and great looks you can achieve with even just some really simple setups - Mike “Beeple” Winkelman
Playing with TP and Xpresso is a thing of the past for me now. - Ash Thorp
Territory use X-Particles a lot when it comes to detailed simulations for feature film UI. The ease of use means we can turn work around quickly without sacrificing a demanding quality bar - David Sheldon-Hicks / Founder and creative director / Territory Studio
Designer-friendly and technically advanced, simply powerful and art direction-able, X-Particles is an integral tool of my workflow, always impressed how Insydium are constantly developing and refining the most important toolset for Cinema 4D. - Motion Designer; Director; Brett Morris
X-Particles is an essential tool in my creative workflow - whether it be for creating daily images or commercial client projects. It allows me to quickly and intuitively throw together visual concepts or drill down into more complex, technical setups. The integrated interactive and video manual are outstanding, and if you can’t get the answers there, the support team are personal and very quick to help out. - Joey Camacho, Raw & Rendered
