Beta Update

2026.0.0-beta.3

Changed

  • Added CURVES support for all modifiers
  • nxTurbulence frequency is now a percentage

  • #7892Added NexusTime (per second / per frame) toggle to emitter birthrate
  • #7895nxQuestion spawn action Add Emitter button creates a spawn-only emitter linked to the action
  • #7896nxEmitter rectangle width/height swapped on X+/X- planes, emission didn't match viewport display (also #8090, #8093)
  • #7916nxQuestion Math Random missing time variation and particle ID options
  • #7920nxDirection forces not scaled by scene units
  • #7939nxEmitter point cloud follows animated emitter instead of staying in world space
  • #7957nxDirection In Absolute mode: arrow gui points in the wrong direction
  • #7967nxFlock reactor pursuit/flee target lists and timing not working
  • #7971nxTurbulence FBM and Wavy noise not normalised for scene units
  • #7976nxEmitter object emission offset by the emitter's own transform (also #7974)
  • #7996nxWind Turbulence Not Correct
  • #8014Modifiers can be selected by clicking them in the viewport
  • #8034Blender Console: crash after uncheck a default option
  • #8039nxExplode "Unstick if Necessary" doesn't work
  • #8042Rendering crash
  • #8065nxColor: GPU crash if deactivated with nxLimit
  • #8066Emitter noise display locked if more than one emitter using the mode
  • #8072nxMesher: GPU crash with nxGroups and nxFluids
  • #8077Particle Color attribute renders black in Cycles
  • #8084nxConstraints particles stuck on emitter surface after lowering Iterations
  • #8086nxCache tags not updating until timeline played; cache icon now recolours with cache state and disabled sources clear their tag
  • #8092GPU crash emitting from a spline with Points or Edges modes, emission direction now follows the curve tangent (also #7822, #8001)
  • #8098Blender combining point cloud geometry nodes if using multiple emitters
  • #8099nxCollider not working correctly with Blender solidify modifier
  • #8104Animated objects not transferring to simulation cache
  • #8107Blender stops responding in Viewport Rendered mode

Out now

The NeXus for Blender Beta is available now. An INSYDIUM Customer Account is required to access the Beta and your licence. If you already have an account you are all set. If not, create a Customer Account to get started.

Two ways to get NeXus for Blender

Buy it on this page for a perpetual licence. It never expires and it already includes the full release at no extra cost, so you will not need to buy again at launch.

Try the free Beta from your Customer Account. The free Beta licence is time-limited. It is valid until the full release of NeXus for Blender, plus a few days afterwards, then it stops. To carry on using NeXus after release you can buy a licence.

Licensing

NeXus for Blender is a perpetual licence from a one off payment. The 2026 version is yours to keep.

  • All Service Updates for the 2026.x version are included at no extra cost.
  • Future versions can be upgraded for half of the full price at the time.
  • A purchased licence never expires. This is different from the free Beta licence, which is time-limited and stops a few days after the full release.
  • No subscription and no Maintenance fees.

System Requirements

Requires Blender 4.3 or later. Every version from 4.3 onwards is supported, including Blender 4.5 LTS and Blender 5 and newer. NeXus is installed via the Blender Extensions platform, which was added in Blender 4.3. Blender 4.5 LTS has long-term support until July 2027.

NeXus is GPU-accelerated, so you will need a modern GPU with up-to-date drivers and at least 4GB of VRAM. On Windows and Linux this requires Vulkan 1.3. On macOS it requires Metal 3.

Licensing is done online so you need an active internet connection.

Operating System

  • Windows 8.1 or later (requires the MSVC v142 runtime)
  • macOS 13.0 (Ventura) or later
  • Linux with glibc 2.31 or later, for example Ubuntu 20.04 LTS

Anonymous Usage Statistics

INSYDIUM NeXus sends Anonymous Usage Statistics. During the Beta this is always on and cannot be disabled. The statistics gathered are entirely anonymous; no personal information is stored.
