Particle Advection Part 1


In this tutorial, we'll recreate the particle advection from the coral scene in the X-Particles reel. Techniques we'll work through include:

  • Setting up an xpExplosiaFX emission object using Mograph and the C4D Boole object.
  • Creating a custom noise shader to be used for our particle emission and colour.
  • Building an xpExplosiaFX smoke and fire simulation to advect the particles.
  • Using X-Particles modifiers to art direct our xpExplosiaFX Simulation.
  • Using an efficient caching workflow.
